Abstract
Despite rich literature on the impact of social capital on health, the findings have been disputed because only certain dimensions of the two latent variables were analyzed. This study aims to operationalize the constructs in a multidimensional approach. The path-analysis is explored by applying Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Employing the primary data of 400 migrant laborers in a survey conducted in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2016, the statistically significant impacts of bridging, bridginglink, general trust and particlar trust on Bodily Pain (BP), General Health (GH), Physical Function (PF), Social Function (SF) and Vitality (VT) are confirmed.
