HAPRI SEMINAR: How does Net Zero policy impact air pollution exposure in the United Kingdom? Experiences and motivation for Vietnam


Introduction:

The United Kingdom has committed to legally binding Net Zero (NZ) targets and established an independent advisor, the Climate Change Committee (CCC), to assess current progress toward NZ and propose future pathways to achieve NZ by 2050. This talk will present the latest research from the Imperial College London research group on UK Government emission projections with CCC's Net Zero Balanced and Innovation-driven pathways for 2050, and the co-benefits of reducing air pollution exposure from changes in transport emissions. The talk will also address some air pollution issues in Vietnam.
